About Us
X-tracks was launched online on January 1st, 2014, but the idea behind it isn’t new. The concept was to bring together the agencies Enduro Istra Team (Croatia), Offroadcenter Istrien (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), and Kroatieadventure (Belgium) under one platform.
The original founders of X-tracks, the Enduro Istra Team, led by Alen Kiršić and Michele Dagostin, started working in the off-road tourism sector—specifically Enduro—as early as the year 2000. Initially, the focus was on guided Enduro tours, which quickly gained popularity, and the organization began to grow.
In 2001, a motocross track was built in Sv. Martin (Labin), and the Enduro Istra Team started organizing races for the Croatian Enduro Championship, attracting many participants from Austria, Slovenia, and Italy. Thanks to the positive feedback from participants, the organizers of the Offroad Challenge took notice and entrusted the Enduro Istra Team with hosting the European Cup of the Offroad Challenge from 2002 to 2005.
That same year, new ideas began to emerge for different formats of Enduro racing. With the growing popularity of quads and ATVs in off-road sports, we organized the first Akrapovič Offroad Weekend in 2006, sponsored by our partner Akrapovič.
Despite the racing events, our main focus remained on guided Enduro tours. From 2007 to 2009, these tours were held in cooperation with KTM Adventure Tours. At the time, cross-country races were very popular, but we wanted to create something unique. In 2008, we launched the Akrapovič No Fear No Limit Hard Enduro Race. This event still takes place annually in March around the town of Raša and continues to grow in popularity. It is undoubtedly one of the toughest and most extreme Enduro races in the world.
With more Enduro tours, MX events, race track preparations, and an increasing number of riders, we could hardly manage the demand. This led us to the idea of enclosed Enduro parks, where riders could train independently on well-prepared and marked trails. We purchased or rented four different terrains and needed someone who could bring this idea to life. We found that person in Michael Dörr, a partner and friend who successfully implemented our concept through his agency Offroadcenter Istrien.
The evolution and popularity of extreme Enduro racing also brought a need for trial riding skills and specialized training. Since the end of 2009, we have been offering dedicated trial riding terrain, meeting the needs of beginners up to world championship-level riders.
Our strong reputation and quality of work caught the attention of Belgian rider Verveat Edgard in 2008. He founded Kroatië Adventure and helped promote our activities in the Belgian and Dutch markets. Edgard is especially active in Jet Ski and Quad/ATV sports, and thanks to him, we gained valuable knowledge in these areas. We started organizing Jet Ski tours along the Croatian islands and in the Risvica Bay (Raša Gulf). In 2011, we opened our Jet Ski Training Center and simultaneously launched quad and ATV tours.
Through continuous contact with Enduro riders, the topic of Africa and the Sahara kept coming up. Inspired, we began organizing Enduro tours in Africa in 2010 with great enthusiasm and effort. At the end of that year, we embarked on our first African tour with Enduros and Quads. The experience was unlike anything we’d encountered before—both the landscape and the people left a lasting impression. Many tours followed, and this adventure remains a staple in our offer to this day.
Always seeking new improvements and experiences, we connected with our friend G.C. from Sardinia and the motorcycle club of Villasimius. Riding Enduro in Sardinia fascinated us, and since 2014, we’ve been offering guided Enduro and Quad tours on the island.
After so many years in the off-road world, we realized that there are people who love nature and want to connect with it, but not necessarily in such a sporty way. For them, we created unique off-road experiences using a special military vehicle, the Pinzgauer.
X-Tracks and its partners work in cooperation with many, many people. Unfortunately, it is not possible to name everyone who has supported us along the way. But we want to say a heartfelt thank you to all our friends, supporters, partners, and, most of all—our clients!
